FALL RIVER …Helen E. (Fontaine) Thibault, 72, of Westport died at Charlton Memorial Hospital Wednesday, October 28, 2009 after a long illness.
She was the wife of Wilfred Thibault.
She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Herbert and Anna (Kelman) Fontaine and had lived in Westport since 1958.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Sanford Rd. Westport.
She was a floor lady at the former Bristol Knitting for 32 years, retiring in 1986.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, 1 Daughter: Debra A. Thibault of Providence, RI, 4 Sisters: Louise Gardella of CA, Barbara Bonas of Tiverton, RI, Jeanne Mello and Maureen Gagnon, both of Fall River, 5 Brothers: Herbert Fontaine of Portsmouth, RI, Norman Fontaine of Riverside, RI, Roger Fontaine of NC, William Fontaine and Alan Fontaine, both of Fall River, 2 Grandchildren: Alex and Aimee Thibault, many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Kenneth W. Thibault, and the sister of the late Wilfred Fontaine, Robert Fontaine, Gladys Gagne, Joan LaFleur and Anna Smith.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held on Monday, 9 AM at SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, Sanford Rd., Westport. Calling hours Sunday 4-8 PM. Burial will be at a later date.
