Obituary

HUDSON, FL: Davina M. (Manninen) Karris, 53, formerly of Gloucester, died at unexpectedly at her home in Florida on October 13, 2009.
Born in Gloucester, on June 17, 1956, she was the daughter of the late David and Rita Manninen. Davina attended Gloucester public schools and moved to Florida several years ago where she met her late husband, Terrance Karris who passed away recently in August of 2009.
Davina enjoyed collecting antiques and Asian memorabilia. During her years in Gloucester she worked at many restaurants as a waitress. She also worked on local whale watching boats. She will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by her two sons, Jeremy Langley and his wife, Nicole and Bryan Langley and his wife, Maria all of Gloucester, five grandchildren, Dylan and Madysen Langley of Gloucester and Jeremy, Jr, Marissa, and Logan Langley all of Fairfax, Vermont, and many cousins.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle St., Gloucester at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Heart Assoc., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Interment will be held in the Seaside Cemetery, Gloucester.
