WORCESTER___Arthur E. Allard, Jr, 83, of Worcester, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 in Radius Health Care, Worcester.
He leaves a brother, James Allard of Florida; his niece and primary caregiver, Catherine McInerney of Millbury; his sweetheart great great-grand niece Victoria and nephews and nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces. He was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Rainville. He was born in Worcester, a son of Arthur E. Allard, Sr, and Catherine M. (Dolan) Allard and lived here all his life.
Mr. Allard was a state auditor and worked many years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts before retiring. He was a graduate of St. Stephen's High School and Worcester Junior College. Arthur was a member of St. Stephen Church, Worcester Elks Lodge 243 and the Greendale Retired Men's Club. He enjoyed playing golf and bowling.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Stephen Church, 357 Grafton Street. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Friday, Oct. 30 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
