Allen Wayne Johnson, 59, Clarksville, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Brother Tony Chester officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 4 to 7 p..m. Friday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born December 1, 1949 in Joelton, TN son of the late Allen C. "Fido" Johnson and Hazel Turner Johnson. He was a technician with Jenkins and Wynne and an avid dirt track racer crew chief. He was a member of Friendship Freewill Baptist Church in Cheatham County. Survivors include his wife, Barbara W. Johnson; three sons, Kenneth Moore Johnson, Nashville; Gary Johnson, Clarksville; and Terry Johnson, Southside; a daughter, Sheryl Moore Johnson Conner, Clarksville; four brothers, Jerry Johnson, Ashland City; Steve Johnson, Mt. Juliet; Harold Johnson, Nashville; and David Johnson, Clarksville; two sisters, Ann Bush, Barron Plains; and Joyce Walker, Springfield; and eight grandchildren, Kristen Moore, Jace Moore Conner, Michael Conner, Davey Conner, Paige Johnson, Courtney Johnson, Sydney Johnson, and Dakota Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Mike Johnson and a grandson, Anthony Johnson. Pallbearers will be Gary Johnson, Terry Johnson, Kenneth Moore Johnson, Jace Moore Conner, Michael Conner, Davey Conner, and Dakota Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Jenkins and Wynne. Memorials may be sent to Neal-Tarpley for the family.
