Obituary

Henry G. Fisher, 82, of Mattapoisett died October 26, 2009 at the Royal of Fairhaven after a long illness.
Born in Boston, the son of the late Mary Jane Fisher, he lived in Wareham and Mattapoisett most of his life.
He was the co-founder of Fisher and Rocha Construction until his retirement. He was the former owner of Hillside Motel in Mattapoisett in the 1960's. During the 1950's, he was the recreation director for the Town of Wareham where he coached many youth sports teams and started a jazz band for the kids.
Mr. Fisher enjoyed music and was a founding member of the Bourbon Street Paraders jazz band.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Lauren D. Fisher of Marion; 2 sons, Robert C. Fisher of Arizona and Phillip G. Fisher of Florida; 6 grandchildren, Timothy, Lindsay, Jon, Kacey, Olivia and Francis; 2 great-grandchildren.
He was the father of the late Cindy J. Fisher.
His Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th at 10:30 AM in Cushing Cemetery.
