Richard J. Noto, 86 of Medford, died Saturday after a brief illness in the Courtyard Nursing Care Center, Medford, MA.
Born in Boston, he lived in Medford for the past 10 years and formerly of East Boston. He was the son of the late Nunza (Cotonaro) and Salvatore Noto. Richard worked as a Welder at Bethlehem Steel Ship Building in East Boston for 40 years and retired in 1988. He served during World War II in the U. S. Army Air Force from 1943 to 1945.
Beloved husband of the late Jennie (Gulla) Noto. Dear brother in law of Marie and Sonny Luongo, Nancy and Ralph Gulla all of Medford. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
