Obituary

Paula (Lobo) Anacleto, 88, of Roxbury, formerly of New Bedford, died Saturday October 24, 2009 at South Shore Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Antonio M. Anacleto.

Born in Brava, Cape Verde, the daughter of the late Antonio B. and Maria (Burgo) Lobo, she lived in New Bedford for many years before moving to Roxbury two years ago.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.

Mrs. Anacleto was formerly employed as an assembler for U.S. Ringbinder until her retirement.

Survivors include her stepchildren, Ray Anacleto of Florida, Lucia Gomes and Aucilia Mendes, both of Brockton, and Maria Lomba and Cathy Brito, both of California; and many nieces and nephews, including Maria Kenfe with whom she resided.

She was the sister of the late Zulmira Gomes, Joseph, Joao, and Manuel Lobo.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
