LEICESTER: Kathleen M. (Dumas) Jyringi, 84, of 5 Foster Street in the Rochdale section of Leicester, died Saturday, Oct. 24 in Oakwood Rehab. & Nursing Center in Webster after an illness.
Her husband Aarne E. Jyringi died in 2002. She leaves four sons; Craig Jyringi and his wife Sheryl of Rochdale, Brian Jyringi and his wife Sheryl of Palmer, Mark Jyringi and his companion Catherine of Seattle, WA, Cris Jyringi and his wife Donna of Leicester, a daughter Lynn Auger and her husband Robert of Thompson, CT, a sister Theresa LaPlante of Charlton, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by a brother Dennis Dumas and three sisters Vivian Southard, Ruth Cobb and Dorothy Jyringi.
Mrs. Jyringi was born in Malone, N.Y. the daughter of Alfred and Mamie (LaBrake) Dumas. She was a secretary at Sawyer Lumber Co. in Worcester before retiring. She also worked for many years at Carlton Woolen Mills in Rochdale. She took several computer classes at Worcester State College. She enjoyed bingo, reading, playing cards and was an avid scrabble player. She loved the New England Patriots. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Giselle Desrochers and Katie Knox for the excellent care given to Kathleen.
The funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 26 at 11:00 AM in MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00-11:00 AM. on Monday. Please omit flowers. Memorial donations may be made to V.N.A. Care Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
