Obituary

Kasper, Virginia “Ginny” M. (Wein) of Quincy, passed away on October 22, 2009, at the age of 90.

She was the beloved wife of the late Edwin H. Kasper. Devoted mother of Joanne Dondero and her husband Hank, Elaine “Gigi” Gibbons and her husband Michael, and Virginia “Babe” Duffy and her husband John, all of Quincy. Cherished grandmother of Jonna Sheehy and her husband Brian, Jennifer Dondero, Mark Dondero, Caroline Dondero, Amy Herlihy and her husband Ryan, Julie Gibbons, Mike Gibbons, Shaun Gibbons, John Duffy and his wife Nancy, Kerry Duffy and her fiancé Tony Monaco, and her six great-grandchildren. Beloved aunt of Diane Swimm, Joseph Dupont, Betty Kasper, and the late Eleanor Dupont, the late Jack Kasper, and many more nieces, nephews and friends.

Ginny was born in Lynn and has been a Houghs Neck resident for over 60 years. She worked as an Executive Secretary to three of the presidents of Quincy College before retiring in 1986. Ginny enjoyed traveling Europe, watching the Red Sox, and being with her family and friends. All who knew her will sadly miss her patience, hospitality, open heart and kind smile.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday from 4 PM to 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, in Quincy.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 AM.

Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
