Charlene Betty Weber Kress, 78, of Summerville, wife of Joseph H. Kress, Lt Col. USAF (Ret) died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Summerville Medical Center.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 12:00 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 11001 Dorchester Road, Summerville.
Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville.
Friends may visit at the church from 10:30 until hour of service on Saturday.
Charlene was born November 29, 1930 in Erie, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Arthur and Charlotte Will Weber. She was a graduate of Academy High School, Erie Pennsylvania. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother who also enjoyed gardening and decorating her home. While her husband was serving in the military, she enjoyed doing special projects for the military and was a member of the Officer Wives Club. She was a homemaker and also an original member of St. Theresa the Little Flower Catholic Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are: 1 daughter: Lynne Constance Kress of Austin, Texas, 1 son: Adrian C. Kress and his wife Wendy of Greenville, SC and 2 great grandsons: Joseph Mason Kress and Patrick Mitchell Kress of Greenville. She was predeceased by her brother: William Weber. Family and friends will miss Charlene’s loving and giving heart.
