Obituary

Esther Clare Moriarty, 93, died Tuesday evening August 26, 2003 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, Goffstown following a lengthy illness. She was born in Nashua on March 11, 1910 the youngest daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (O’Shea) Moriarty of Nashua. She was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1927 and attended Keene Normal School and Boston University. During World War II she volunteered with the Red Cross and assisted her sisters in teaching. She was predeceased by her sisters, Marguerite Moriarty, Martha Moriarty, Mary Patton, Frances Mangiaracina, her brothers, Attorney Daniel Moriarty, Joseph Moriarty and Rev. Edward Q. Moriarty,S.J..

She is survived by her nephew, Michael Moriarty of Seattle, WA, her nieces, Elizabeth Baluta of Londonderry, Marie Gallager of Nashville, TN, Betsy Moriarty of Tullahoma, TN, also grandnieces and grandnephews.

There are no calling hours. Friends may gather for a Liturgy of the Word on Friday August 29th at 10:00am at St. Mark’s Church, corner of South Rd and Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Hudson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crotchet Mountain School, Attn. Peg Lewis, 1 Verney Dr., Greenfield, NH 03047 or to the Hillsborough County Nursing Home Patient Activity Fund, 490 Mast Rd., Goffstown, NH 03045. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Londonderry is handling arrangements.
