Obituary

George Wagner of Duxbury, died Tuesday, October 20 at his home in Duxbury surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Freja Peterson Wagner, and three daughters.
George was born April 12, 1928 in Hoboken, New Jersey, and raised in Weehawken, New Jersey. He was the son of George and Emilie Ward Wagner. George was the third child of four children, Joseph, who predeceased him, Frances, and Jane Wagner Gerhard, all of Weehawken, New Jersey.
George leaves three children: Anne Wagner Ryan, of Weston, MA, Freja Wagner, of Plymouth, MA, and Emilie Wagner Berkley of St. Augustine, Florida. He also leaves three loving grandchildren: Stephen Ryan, George Ryan, and Lauren Berkley.
George graduated from Muhlenberg College and did graduate work in chemistry at the University of Cincinnati. George was president of his own company, Chemical Images, which formulated and manufactured polymer resins for copying machines. He sold his business and retired in 1999.
He was a lifetime member of the Polymer Resin Society of America, and was honored with a lifetime achievement award at the annual Diamond Conference of North America.
A Memorial service is being conducted at the Pilgrim Church in Duxbury, at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24.
