DUDLEY - Irene C. Grzyb, 90, of 20 Green Street, died Sunday, October 18, at home after an illness.
She leaves no immediate family. She was preceded in death by a sister Klara in 1917 and by a brother, Frederick F. Grzyb, who was killed in action in 1944.
She was born in Dudley, the daughter of Frank J. and Catherine (Bilska) Grzyb and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Bartlett High School.
Miss Grzyb worked at local shoe mills before she retired.
She was a communicant of Saint Andrew Bobola Church and a member of its Holy Rosary Sodality. She also belonged to the Sacred Heart Society, Saint Anne Society, both of St. Joseph Basilica and the Saint Joseph Polish Women's Club in Webster. She sang alto in the Saint Cecelia Choir at Saint Andrew Bobola Church and also in the choir at Saint Joseph Basilica. She was a member of the Piast group.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, October 21, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. A calling period will be from 8:00 to 9:30 AM Wednesday, October 21, in the funeral home.
