Lunenburg
Ruth Janet (MacLean) Wright, 97, died Saturday October 17, at the Legend
Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Gardner. She lived in Lunenburg for
45 years before moving to Leominster, then to Ashburnham, until moving
to Gardner 4 years ago.
Ruth was born in Fitchburg November 9, 1911, the daughter of Angus
Joseph and Theresa (Connor) MacLean. She grew up in Fitchburg and
graduated from St. Bernard's High School. She was very athletic and
especially loved basketball and softball. Ruth worked for many years at the
former Simonds Saw & Steel Co., now Simonds Industries.
Ruth leaves her daughter, Alana L. Michaud and her companion Fred
Collins of Ashburnham and her step-son Peter Wright of Jefferson. Two
grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Her
husband of fifty years David A. Wright died June 8, 2000.
A graveside service for Ruth will be held on Wednesday October 21 at 1:00
P.M. in Forest Hill Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Bosk Funeral
Home is assisting the family.
