Danny Phillip Walker, 58, Clarksville, died Sunday, October 18, 2009, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Dr. Larry Robertson officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born August 30, 1951 in Clarksville, TN son of William Clyde Walker and Doris Lucille Gafford Walker. He was preceded in death by his father. Mr. Walker retired as an engineer from the Clarksville Fire and Rescue Department. He played bass in the band Citizen Arrest with Mychall Allen. Survivors include his mother, Doris Gafford; wife, Janice Walker, three sons, Phillip Micheal Walker, Wade Greear, and Daniel Michael Walker all of Clarksville, a daughter, Leslie Ann Walker Wall (Jeremy), Clarksville; a brother, Terry William Walker, Pleaqsant View, TN;four grandchildren, Jasmine Groves, Deidra Groves, Charvel Groves, and Toni Tigart; one great-grandson, James Hunter Short; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Pat Dowdy, Roger Gray, Clarles Lee. Jeff McFee, Sam Spivey, Mychall Lee Allen, Jeff Harrison, and Jerry Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Clarksville Fire and Rescue Honor Guard.
