Louise E. (Woodworth) Quagge died October 17, 2009 surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. She was a lifetime resident of Brockton, and a graduate of Brockton HighSchool. Louise was the wife of the late V. Edward (Eddie) Quagge and the daughter of the late Harry Woodworth and Agnes (Samuelson)(Woodworth) Dean. She was the sister of the late Harry, Jr., William, Richard, Robert, and James Woodworth, cousin of the late Anne Sweeney and Harriett Hamilton, and mother-in-law of the late Maritess Quagge.
She is survived by her children, Brockton High School Principal Susan (Quagge) Szachowicz and her husband William of Brockton, Timothy Quagge of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Maureen (Quagge) Kearney and her husband Kevin of Vernon, Connecticut. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Alexander, Nicole, and Michael Quagge of Nevada, and Kristi and Kylie Kearney of Connecticut and many nieces and nephews. Louise’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Louise’s children would also like to extend a special thanks to all of her caregivers at LifeCare in West Bridgewater who were so supportive, caring, and kind to their mom.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton at 9am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Bridgewater. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8pm. Donations may be made in memory of Louise to Brockton Educational Foundation, 43 Crescent St.,Brockton, MA 02301.
