Kimberly A. (Reed) Walsh, 38, of West Bridgewater and Duxbury passed on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Born in Stoughton, she was the daughter of Sandra A. Reed of West Bridgewater and Robert F. Reed, Jr. and Leslie A. Croci-Reed of Marlborough. She leaves her husband of eleven years, Daniel P. Walsh, her son Jesse Walsh and daughter Makenna R. Walsh of West Bridgewater. She is survived by her Grandparents Shirley L. Krugger and the late Richard E. Krugger of West Bridgewater; twin sister Kerry A. Smith her husband Paul G. and niece Kennedy T. of Plymouth; sister Madison T. Reed of Marlborough and brother Robert F. Reed, III of Duxbury. Also, Karen and David Walsh, mother-in-law and father-in-law, of West Bridgewater and their four children; uncles Richard E. Krugger, Jr., his wife Sally and their four children of West Bridgewater and Richard A. Reed and his daughter of Plympton; aunt Pamela K.A. Reed of Attleboro.
Kim was a graduate of Quincy College of Nursing receiving her R.N. degree in 2000. She was a hospice nurse and most recently was employed by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield as a Nurse Clinical Reviewer. She held fondly her memories of summers on Duxbury Beach and the lasting friendships she made. She reveled in that special world that only an identical twin could relate to.
Funeral from the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Rte. 139, Marshfield on Tuesday October 20, 2009 at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of Assumption Church, 40 Canal Street, Green Harbor at 11:00AM.
Visiting hours Monday, October 19, 2009 from 4-8 PM.
