OBITUARY

Fitchburg

Chong Im (Kim) Keronen, 82, of Fitchburg passed away peacefully
Wednesday October 14, at the home of her daughter Susan with her loving
family at her bedside.
Chong was born in Kyungsang, Buk-Do, Korea February 10, 1927, the
daughter of Yong Moon and Im Duk (Pak) Kim and came to the United
States and Fitchburg in 1958, as the bride of Wiljo J. Keronen.
Chong was employed as a cook for 19 years at the former Grandview Rest
Home in Fitchburg. She loved cooking for others, loved the outdoors and
gardening and many other outdoor activities.
Chong leaves her son Chong H. Keronen of Howell, N.J., her daughters,
Susan K. and her husband Alan Mazurka of Fitchburg Hilma K. and her
husband Doug Morris of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. She also leaves her sister
Chong Em Kim of Korea, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Chong's husband of 48 years Wiljo, passed away October 16, 2003. Her
daughter Betty Aronovsky passed away in 2007.
Funeral services and burial for Chong will be private at the Massachusetts
Veterans Cemetery in Winchendon. Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St. is
assisting the family.
