WORCESTER- Donald V Jonis 50 of 12 Progressive Street died Friday after being stricken in his home.
Mr. Jonis was born in Worcester a son of Vincent and Mary (Waitkevich) Jonis. He is survived by a brother and sister in law George V and Keanne Jonis of Grafton. Another brother Robert V Jonis of Worcester died in 2000. He was a graduate of Saint John’s Preparatory School in Shrewsbury. Mr. Jonis worked for more than thirty years as a Machinist at Norton Company.
He was a member of Saint Casimir’s Catholic Parish and was an avid bowler. He recently won an award for bowling a perfect game with a score of 300.
His funeral will be held Tuesday August 26th from The Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home 298 Grafton Street with a Mass at 10am in Saint Casimir’s Church 41 Providence Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.Calling hours at the funeral home are from 6 to 8pm tomorrow, Monday August 25th.
