SR. CECILE NEVEU, CSC
Sr. Cecile Neveu, CSC (Sr. Mary Elisa), 85, of the Sisters of Holy Cross, 357 Island Pond Rd., Manchester died October 5, 2001 in her residence.
Born in Nashua on April 21, 1916, she was the daughter of Evangeliste and Ernestine (Rochette) Neveu. She entered the congregation of the Sisters of Holy Cross in 1935 and made her final profession in 1942.
Sr. Neveu earned a bachelor of science degree in Home Economics from Notre Dame College, Manchester in 1957. She later taught at parochial elementary schools in Nashua, Manchester, Rochester, Gonic, Newmarket and Somersworth.
She retired to St. George Manor, Manchester in 1996 and was transferred to Holy Cross Health Center in 1997.
The family includes a brother, Br. Roger Neveu, Brother of the Sacred Heart of Nashua; three sisters, Sr. Estelle Neveu, CSC of Nashua, Yvonne Neveu and Jeanne Gamache both of Merrimack; nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated October 9th in the chapel of St. George Manor. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery, Manchester
