Obituary

Margaret Keough, a resident of Winchester for over 50 years, formerly of Medford, passed away Oct. 12th after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Gladyse (Thibeau) Keough, and the beloved niece of the late Leonette Thibeau, to whom she was devoted. Born in Cambridge, she attended schools in Somerville before moving to Winchester. She was a long-time employee of Atex, Inc., where she was honored by customers for outstanding customer service. She also worked for many years at First National Stores and NovaSoft. Margaret loved her home, animals (she never went anywhere without treats for dogs she might encounter), shopping, her friends and the Red Sox. She also enjoyed trips with other members of the Jenks Senior Center in Winchester. She is survived by several close friends, including Gerry Tierno and Mary Ann Adams. Margaret’s funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Fri., Oct. 16 at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, Winchester at 10AM. Visitation will be held in the funeral home Fri. morning from 8:30-9:30 am only. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Bridge St. Cemetery, West Newbury. In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701 or to the MSPCA 350 South Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
