JESSIE, VIRGINIA (STAPLES), 86, widow of Eulis A. Jessie, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2009.
Born in Horse Cave, KY, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Zada Staples. Other than her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Jim Jessie.
She is survived by her loving children, Carolyn Welshans (Terry), Phil Jessie (Linda), David Jessie and Paul Jessie (Yvonne); a daughter-in-law, Joan Jessie; nine grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m Wednesday to the time of service.
