Obituary

ANDOVER--Edward W. "Bill" Kidwell, Jr., 78, of Andover died Monday, October 12, 2009 at his home after a long illness.


Born in Chicago, IL September 10, 1931, he was the son of Lois E. (Todd) and Edward W. Kidwell and grew up in Ogden Dunes, IN. He attended Valparaiso Tech and graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Electronic Engineering. Member of the US Steel Co Band and Chorus of Indiana. Inducted into the US Army Signal Corp. in 1953 and served in Germany.
When he returned he married a fellow Choir member, Bette J. Patrick and raised two sons. Robert W. Kidwell of Andover, and Jeffrey Scott Kidwell of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl. After decades of Quality Control Engineering at various companies in Ohio and Massachusetts, such as Raytheon, Bose, and Sylvania, he also volunteered many years of time for CLASS, Inc/Shop With CLass and Creative Living/Classic Threads in Lawrence.

ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service was held on October 15, 2009 at 2pm. The service was held at the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover.
