Rev. Paul G. Kelley, age 84, formerly of Winchester, passed away at St. Patrick’s Manor Nursing Home in Framingham, on Oct. 11. Born in Boston, MA, he was the beloved son of the late Francis J. and Lucy (Casey) Kelley. Fr. Kelley was raised and educated in Milton. After high school, he attended St. John’s Seminary in Brighton and was ordained as a priest in 1949. His assignments included those of Assistant, Saint Vincent’s, South Boston (10/24/1949 to 10/8/1950), Higher Studies, Catholic University, Washington D.C. (10/8/1950 to 9/5/1951), Faculty-Cardinal O’Connell Minor Seminary, Jamaica Plain (9/5/1951 to 2/18/1958), Assistant-Saint Patrick Parish, Lawrence (2/18/1958 to 10/22/1969), Assistant-Saint Raphael Parish, West Medford (10/22/1969 to 4/15/1980), Administrator-Saint Raphael Parish, West Medford (4/15/1980 to 10/20/1981), Assoc. Pastor-Saint Raphael Parish, West Medford (10/20/1981 to 1/12/1983), Assoc. Pastor- Saint Mary Parish, Winchester (1/12/1983 to 3/1/1994), Senior Priest, Retirement Status (3/1/1994 to 10/11/2009). In his spare time, Fr. Kelley enjoyed walking, reading, and playing the piano and organ. While at St. John’s Seminary, he played for the choir. Fr. Kelley was the dear brother of Francis J. of NC, Mary Dacey of OH, Daniel X. of NC, Sr. Ann G. Kelley of Cambridge, and Sheila Doyle of Hingham, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. His funeral Mass will be held on Thurs., Oct. 15 at 11AM in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St. Winchester. Relatives and friends invited. Fr. Kelley will lie in State at St. Mary’s Church on Wed. from 4-8PM. Interment Milton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Fr.
