WAYLAND AND FOSTER, R.I.: Aileen Neel Keller, 93, died peacefully on October 8, 2009 following a declining period of health.
She was born in Ocoee, Florida on August 17, 1916 the daughter of the late Joseph Neel and Lucille (Moor) Neel.
Mrs. Keller was the wife of the late George A.C. Keller, Jr. who died in October of 1999. She was the beloved mother of George A.C.F. Von Keller III and his wife Ludivini of RI; DeAnn Springer of NY; Rev. Neel Keller and his wife Heather of NC and Roger Keller and his wife Fabiola of MA. Sister of Juliana Carroll of CT; Marguerite Rogers of FL and Robert Neel of WA. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Keller was a resident of Wayland for over 43 years before moving to Rhode Island in 1998 with her husband. In her earlier years she received a degree in business administration from a business college in the south. While residing in Wayland she and her husband were one of the founding families of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit and were very active in the affairs of the church. She was a member of the Wayland Women’s Club and the Cochituate and Woodridge Garden Clubs. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00 at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (OFF ROUTE 30), Wayland.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, 169 Rice Road (OFF ROUTE 30), Wayland.
Interment will follow in the Keller family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
