Alice M. Viveiros, age 88, of Fall River & previously of Somerset & Swansea, passed away Oct. 10, 2009. Widow of Manuel “Bob” Viveiros and daughter of the late Henry & Mary (Brillante) Moniz. Prior to retiring, Alice worked as a Nurses Aide at the Adams House and previously owned & operated the Countryside Market in the North End of Fall River. She was also a parishioner of St. Michael Church.
She is survived by her two children, Steven M. Viveiros of Swansea and Patricia Anne Gibney of Lakeville. Two siblings, Olive Rogers of Fall River, & Henry Moniz of Toronto. 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel & Cesar Moniz, Mary Bigelow, & Adelaide Amaral.
Her funeral service will take place in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. TUESDAY with visitation from 9:00 A.M. to the 10:00 A.M. services. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice & Palliative Care, 502 Bedford St. Fall River, MA 02721.
