Louis F. Mucci Jr., 88 of Medford died Friday after a long illness in the Sancta Maria Nursing Facility Cambridge, MA.
Born in Medford, he was the son of the late Louis and Annie (Murphy) Mucci.
Mr. Mucci was a self taught musician and was known for playing the piano, organ and accordion. He retired in 1978 as a musician and teacher. During his career Louis played with the Len Russ Trio, many area nightclubs in the former Scully Sq., the 1,2,3 Club, the Provincetown II Boat Trio, and for many fund raises for local Politicans. He also was a member of the Musician Union.
Devoted father of Margaret Heimeyer, Louis F. Mucci III both of California, Darryl A. and Kevin C. Mucci both of Medford. Loving grandfather of Louis F. Mucci IV, and Michael P. Mucci. Brother of Charles Mucci of Wollaston, Anna Mucci of Somerville, and the late Florence Canavan, Henry Mucci and Alice Hurley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Tuesday at 8AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
