Louise A. Merrill, 71, of Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH died Monday January 14, 2002 at her home following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Merrill was born in Concord, NH on June 23, 1930, the daughter of Grace (Andrews) French and the late Charles C. French. She had resided in Londonderry for the past 50 years formerly living in Boscawen, NH. She was 1947 graduate of the Concord High School. She had been employed for a few years in the late 1940’s for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. She was very devoted to working along side her husband at the Oliver Merrill & Sons Farm, Londonderry for many years. She was active for 20 years in the Farmers Market, Manchester where she was known as the “Egg Lady”. During the 1970’s and early 1980’s she was active in local and county 4H activities. She was a member of the Farm Bureau and the AARP.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William O. Merrill, Londonderry, three sons, Charles Merrill, Kenneth Merrill, Robert Merrill, all of Londonderry, her mother, Grace French, Pembroke, NH, one brother, David French, Leesport, Pa., two sisters, Evelyn Roy, Boscawen, Jane Brown, Concord, also several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, memorial services will be held on Thursday January 17th at 2:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry.
