Sophie M. Noga, 95, of Derry, NH died Thursday October 8, 2009 in the Derry Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Derry. Mrs. Noga was born in Oyster Bay, NY on September 14, 1914, daughter of the late Nicholaus and Martha (Zaleska) Zabielski. She had resided in Derry for the past 30 years, formerly living in Port Washington, NY. She was a former member of the Polish Women’s Auxillary in Port Washington and a member of the Londonderry, NH Senior Citizens. She was also a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Derry.
She is survived by her two sons, Richard S. Noga and his wife Kay of Concord, NH, Alfred J. Noga and his wife Carol of Malta, NY, one daughter, Cecelia K. Grabowski of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, one sister, Genevieve Komorowski of Port Washington, NY, also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in 1988 by her husband, Stanley J. Noga.
Calling hours were held on Monday October 12, 2009 from 5 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry.
