Bernice L. (Caswell) Moore, 87, of Mattapoisett, MA died August 22, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Donald E. Wholley and Dr. Frederick T. Moore and daughter of the late Edward and Alice (Price) Caswell.
Mrs. Moore was born in New Bedford and lived in West Springfield, MA and Mattapoisett most of her life.
She was a former member of the South Congregational Church in Springfield, MA.
Mrs. Moore was a graduate of New Bedford High School class of 1934 and was a member of R.O.T.C. She later attended Edgewood Park Junior College in Briarcliff Manor, NY.Her Fondest memories were of time spent with family and friends at her Pico Beach home.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Susan C. Brett, and her husband Edmund, of Westfield, MA and Linda M. Pierce, and her husband Steven, of Pittsfield, MA; a brother-in-law, Herbert Molden of Taunton; 4 grandchildren, Gregory Brett, and his wife Renate, Sarah Brett, Colleen Pierce and Ryan Pierce; several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late John Peter Wholley and sister of the late Eleanor Molden.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett, Monday, August 25th at 1 PM.
Visiting hours Sunday, August 24th from 2-5 PM.
Interment Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
