Frances K. Finn, 87

Frances K. (Taylor) Finn, 87, of Norton formerly of Florida, and the South Shore,
passed away on Tuesday October 6, 2009 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick J. Finn who died on March 26, 1988.
Born in Olanta, South Carolina on December 20, 1921 she was a daughter of the late Dennis and Frances (Moore) Taylor.
Kathleen grew up and was educated in South Carolina. After marrying her late husband they moved back to Boston and later resided in the South Shore towns of Randolph, Braintree, and Weymouth. She had lived in the Norton area for the past 11 years and had previously made her home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for over 20 years.
Mrs. Finn was a former Realtor in Florida for many years and when younger she was a hairdresser. While living in Florida, Kathleen was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Elks in Fort Lauderdale and while a resident of Weymouth was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed the many wonderful times spent in the presence of her loving family.
She is survived by her devoted children Francine M. Finn of San Diego, California, Deborah K. Cameron and her husband Gary of Norton and Gregory F. Finn and his wife Lynn of Lake Worth, Florida. She was the dear sister of Elva Idarola of Billerica and the late Dennis Taylor. She is also survived by her cherished 5 grandchildren Tom Cameron of Norton, Jim Cameron and his wife Kristal of Norton, Brian Abel of Boca Raton, Florida, Garrett Finn of Boca Raton, Florida and Heather Rodrigues of Hollywood, Florida. She was great grandmother of James Cameron of Norton and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Prayer services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Friday October 9th at 10:00 at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will follow in the Fairmont Cemetery, Weymouth. Following committal services a reception will be held at the Norton VFW on Summer St. in Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday October 8th from 5-8 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Kathleen’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Norton VFW Post 8049 P.O. Box 1107 Norton, MA 02766.
