Obituary

Douglas L. Flagg, 54, of Manchester died October 3, 2009 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Boston on January 14, 1955, the son of Warren L. and Virginia G. (Fish) Flagg. He graduated from Boston Technical High School and attended the former Lowell Technical Institute, now UMass-Lowell.
Prior to his illness, he had been a retail manager with Radio Shack. He had also recently worked at The Derryfield School in Manchester.
Doug was an extremely hardworking and talented person who enjoyed projects around his house. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan who above all else, loved being at home surrounded by his family.
Family members include his wife of 32 years, Susan (Ashe) Flagg of Manchester; two sons, David D. Flagg of Toronto and Steven M. Flagg of Manchester; his mother, Virginia G. Flagg of Boston; three brothers, Warren L. Flagg of Dedham, MA, Robert L. Flagg of Barrington, RI, and Kenneth L. Flagg of New Smyrna Beach, FL; one sister, Glenna L. Cappola of Kingston, MA; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A funeral service was held Thursday, October 8, 2009 in the funeral home chapel. Committal prayers followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Road, Manchester.
