Edward Ostrow of Revere passed away on October 3, 2009. He was 84 years old. Born in Boston, MA he lived in Revere all of his life. Edward was educated in the Revere School’s and Revere High School. He worked in the restaurant industry prior to his retirement.
Edward was in the Navy and is a veteran of WWII. He was a musician in the Navy Band where he played percussion. He served on the USS Wichita in WWII. Edward was also a member of VFW Post 6712 in Beachmont.
Edward was the beloved husband of Jeanne (Lampert) Ostrow. He was the devoted father of Arlene Albanese and her husband Liborio, and Scott Ostrow and his wife Karen. Edward was the loving son of the late Samuel and Francis (Kligerman) Ostrow. Dear brother of the late George and Al Ostrow. He was also the dear brother of sister in law Ruth Margossian. He was the loving grandfather of Amanda Ostrow. Edward is also survived by his niece Barbara Bartola.
A Chapel Service will be held at Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave., Cary Sq., Chelsea on Tuesday October 6, at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Woburn. Memorial Observance will be at the home of Scott and Karen Ostrow on Tuesday from 5-9 PM and Wednesday from 2-9 PM.
