John Michael Travis Jr., age 31, of New Bedford & previously of E. Freetown, passed away Oct. 2, 2009. Son of John Michael Travis of Swansea and Linda (Ponte) Medeiros & her husband David of E. Freetown. John was a graduate of Bristol County Agricultural High School and currently working as a Residential Manager for Life Stream in New Bedford & Dartmouth where he enjoyed helping the residents.
Besides his father, mother & step-father, survivors include his siblings: Sean Travis of New Bedford, Heather Tripp of Middleboro, David Medeiros Jr. and his wife Kristine of Freetown and Katie Medeiros of E. Freetown; paternal grandmother: Bertha Travis of Swansea; step-grandparents: David & Patricia Medeiros of New Bedford; godson: Sean Travis Jr.; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, & cousins.
His funeral service will take place in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521N. Main St. WEDNESDAY at 10:30 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours TUESDAY 5-8 P.M.
