Albert R. McIntyre, 89, of 101 Beeching Street, Worcester died Saturday (8/16) in The University of Massachusetts Medical Center Memorial Campus. His wife of many years Mildred J. (Jefferson) McIntyre died in 1997. He leaves a son Peter A. McIntyre of Orinda, CA, and a daughter Jean T. Berry of Petaluma, CA, 3 Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a long time companion Elaine B. Ringer. A son Charles M. McIntyre died in 1993.
Mr. McIntyre was born in Chicago, son of Frederick W. and Esther (Anderson) McIntyre. He was a graduate of Williston Academy and received his BA in Economics from Dartmouth College. He was an Executive with Reed and Prince Co. and Co-owned McIntyre Machine Co. of Worcester.
He was a longtime member of Worcester Country Club.
Funeral Services were held 12:00 Noon Wednesday in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. Following cremation, burial will be in Rural Cemetery. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to The American Cancer Society, 7 Oak Street, Worcester 01609.
