MASSEY, Paul J. Sr. Age 75 of Marshfield and Naples, Florida, formerly of Dedham. Passed away suddenly September 28, 2009. Survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Jane (Galvin) Massey. Loving father of Paul J. Massey Jr. and wife Gretchen of Larchmont, NY; Jennifer Vogelzang and husband Michael of Lexington; Moira Lown and husband Richard of Wellesley; and Mark Massey of New York City. Cherished grandfather of Paul J. Massey, III, Sarah Massey, Greta Massey, Jayne Vogelzang, Grace Vogelzang, Katherine Vogelzang, and Tabitha Lown. He is also survived by sister Marilyn J. Massey of Ocala, Florida, the late Frank W. Massey, Jr., and brother, Peter A. Massey, of California. Son of the late Frank W. and Bertha B. Massey. Paul had a distinguished newspaper publishing career at the Dedham Transcript, Sun Newspapers in Cleveland, Ohio, and finally at the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner in Fairbanks, Alaska. Paul was an active member of the Rotary Club in Dedham and Fairbanks, Alaska. Before retiring to Marshfield, Paul and his wife Jane were honored as Distinguished Citizens of the Year by the Midnight Sun Council Boy Scouts of America for their philanthropic work in the Fairbanks community.
