Frank, Stuart M.age 90 of Englewood Cliffs, NJ passed away at home, Sunday September 27, 2009.
Beloved husband of Jane (nee:Kirrane), adored father of Derek and daughter in law Nina, and dear brother of Audrey Katz. Greatly loved by his nieces and nephews, his extended family, and his devoted friends. He was pre-deceased by his cherished sister Lenore, father David, and his mother Leah.
Born in Washington Heights, he lived in Manhattan for sixty years until moving first to Tenafly and then Englewood Cliffs. He was a partner in Interstate Motor Carriers, where he worked as a commercial insurance broker until retirement.
Stuart served his country in WWII as a Corporal in the Army Air Corp. He was very active in supporting his alma mater, George Washington High School, as well as Columbia University.
Stuart will be remembered by all who knew him as a gracious, charming and generous man, quick to offer a kind word or a joke. He loved life, lived well and will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will held at the family’s home in Englewood Cliffs on Saturday October 3rd from 11AM to 4PM. Donations in his name may be directed to the national VFW. Arrangements entrusted to Volk Leber Funeral Home, Teaneck, NJ.
