Obituary

WALKER, DR. THOMAS EDWARD "DOC," 93, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009.

He was a retired teacher and chiropractor, a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association/Joy Riders and First Church of the Nazarene where he was an ordained minister, and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was associated with Operation Appreciation serving our Ft. Knox soldiers and ministered to those in prison.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 72 years, Lela Walker; his children, John Walker (Betty Sue), Mary Thornton (Daniel), Linda Walker and Tom Walker Jr. (Kristine); daughter-in-law, Sandra Walker; granddaughters, Janet Mulherin (Tim), Sara Walker, Carmen Freeman (Vince), and JaLyn McClure (Brian); grandsons, Christopher Stroud and Jared Walker; great-grandchildren, Matt, Chelsea, Haley, Jenesis; great-great-granddaughter, Mattie; sister, Anna Backlund; and several cousins, nieces and nephews from IN, PA and NC.

Memorial service will be held 6:30 p.m. Thursday at First Church of the Nazarene, 3503 Blanton Lane.
