Daniel Nelson, age 15, passed away Monday, September 28, 2009 in Lafayette County. Daniel loved fishing and 3-wheeler riding and enjoyed woodworking and cabinetry. He learned his woodcraft skills in his Uncle Virgil's Cabinet Shop. Daniel also enjoyed cutting grass, talking on the phone and texting his friends.
A visitation is planned for Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 5 until 8 PM. Services are planned for Friday, October 2, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Rev. Bobby Jones serving as minister. Pallbearers are Jason Haley, Darren Smith, Glen Callahan, Kenny Arbuckle, Richard Monk, and Benny Walker. Burial will take place at Campground Cemetery in Lafayette County.
Survivors include his parents, Randy and Mary Ann Bright Nelson of Water Valley, MS and his grandmother, Cliffe Bright of Courtland, MS.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. Virgil and Mrs. Carolyn Nelson, and his grandfather, Charles Bright.
