Funeral services for Mr. James Franklin Elliott, 80, of Sycamore, Georgia will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Mr. Elliott died Sunday at his residence following an extended illness. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Sycamore, Ga.
Mr. Elliott was born in Worth County, Georgia and was the son of the late Richard Issac Elliott & Dollie Douglas Elliott Watson. He was a farmer and was of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed farming, watching his cattle and enjoyed seeing things grow. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and his dog, ‘Cotton”.
Mr. Elliott is survived by his wife Helen Rouse Elliott, Sycamore, Ga.; his children, Norman Ricky Elliott, Sycamore, Ga., James Roger (Lisa) Elliott, Arabi, Ga. and Rhonda (Ben) Webb, Rebecca, Ga. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two Great-Grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters; Bertha Mack, Mae Fogarty, Geneva Rogers and Becky Walker all of Gainesville, Florida. He was preceded in death by one daughter Doris Elliott Woodard on June 4, 2000.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
