Rose T. (Alera) Ferguson, 87, of Hudson, died Friday, Sept. 25th at Wingate at Sudbury. She was the wife of the late Robert A. Ferguson who died in 1970.
Rose was born in Hudson, daughter of the late Alexander and Theresa (De Santis) Alera and was employed by the Raytheon Co. as a secretary for many years. She was a member of the former Christ the King Parish in Hudson, a member of the Hudson Senior Center, former member of the Hudson Eagle’s Auxiliary and was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her daughter, Roberta Bunting and her husband Kurt of Sudbury and her two grandchildren, Robert Bunting of Sudbury and Kurt Bunting and his wife Mega of Salem, NH. She was the sister of the late Frank, John and Anthony Alera.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Sept. 29th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Sept. 28th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
