WORCESTER-Dolores (English) Williams Jones, 77, of Worcester, died Tuesday, September 22nd in St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband of three years, Edward L. Jones, Sr., died in 1989. She leaves three sons, Donald C. Johnson, Jr. of Worcester, Elwood J. Johnson and Sheldon M. Johnson of unknown; three daughters, Precious L. Johnson and Ernestine A. Johnson, both of Worcester and Perpetua Y. Johnson of Atlanta, GA; 21 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Her son, Adhersal R. Johnson and her daughter, Richela J. Tolson predeceased her.
Mrs. Jones was born in Queens, NY, the daughter of Emmit and Lulu (English) Williams. She was an advocate for welfare rights in Massachusetts, and helped and was there for many people. Before becoming ill, she helped to take care of her grandchildren.
Calling hours are Thursday, October 1st from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be private.
