Obituary

James F. O’Hare Jr., 66, passed away suddenly at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford on September 24th, 2009. He was born in Medford on October 29th, 1942 to his parents James F. and Mary T. (Correia) O’Hare. James has been a life long resident of Medford and is a graduate of Medford High School. For over forty years, he owned and operated Guzzi’s Sunoco Gas Station on Mountford Street in Boston. James enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at the family vacation home in Wakefield, New Hampshire. He is survived by his wife, Diane (Orrell) O’Hare; by his children, Darlene Fitzgerald of Medford, James F. O’Hare III of Medford, Donna Davis and her husband Donald of Medford and Doreen O’Hare and Nick Saggese of Reading; by his grandchildren, Kevin Jr., William and Edward Fitzgerald and Donald and Lorelai Davis; and by his siblings, Jean Doherty of Medford, Frances Barnard of Longview, Texas, Virginia Keen of Salem, New Hampshire, Kathleen Parziale of Medford and Maureen Mashoke of Salem, New Hampshire. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Monday September 28th at 8AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday September 27th from 2-6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
