Gary M. King, 51, of Westport died Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Souza) King.
Born in New Bedford, son of Betty L. (Gregory) King of New Bedford and the late Francis E. King, he grew up in Raynham and Dartmouth and had resided in Westport for the past 26 years. He was a graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School. Mr. King was employed by Marshall Brothers Trucking in Taunton and was formerly the owner / operator of P & G King Transportation of Westport.
Including his mother and wife, survivors include a sister: Kathi L. Zeller of Tiverton; an aunt: Mrs. Ruth M. Schleeweis of Groveland, MA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be Tuesday, September 29, 2009 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:30 followed by a service at the Amicable Congregational Church, Tiverton at 11:00 A.M.
Calling hours Monday 5 - 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
