Obituary

Kevin Paul Fantasia, of Plymouth formerly of Somerville, passed away suddenly on September 23rd at the age of 67 at Jordan Hospital. Survived by his beloved wife Donna (Iannacone) of Plymouth, his 2 daughters Lisa Fantasia and Susan Gallagher and her husband Scott both of Manomet. Son of Mary Fantasia (Coyne) of Somerville and the late Anthony N. Fantasia. He also leaves his sisters Patricia Stewart and her husband James of Framingham and Joanne Cedrone and her husband Ronald of Lynnfield and his 4 cherished grandchildren Nicholas Fantasia, Christopher Durnford, Grace and Luke Gallagher and many nieces and nephews. Kevin was born and raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School in 1962. Kevin and Donna moved to Plymouth full-time 10 years ago from Somerville where he lived his whole life and spent his summers in Manomet since 1952. He retired from the Somerville Housing Authority after 20 years where he was the operations manager. Kevin was a member of the Somerville Lions and Elks Lodge #0915. He was also an active spokesperson for the MS Society for 10 years, the President of the Priscilla Beach Association and a commercial lobster/fisherman out of Priscilla Beach for many years. Kevin was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and he loved spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday September 26 at St. Bonaventure’s Church at 10 AM followed by burial at Manomet Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) on Friday September 25 from 4 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the MS Society – Central New England Chapter, 101A First Ave Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
