Thelma Nelson
MANCHESTER – Thelma (Hunter) Nelson, 88, died July 19, 2009, of merkel cell
carcinoma at Berkshire Place in Pittsfield, Mass.
She was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Manchester, to Guy and Florence (Thompson) Hunter.
SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009, 11:30
a.m., at the Puritan Conference Center, Suite A, 245 Hooksett Road, Manchester.
Memorial donations may be made to the Thelma H. Nelson Memorial Fund, Skin
Cancer Foundation, 149 Madison Ave., Suite 901, New York, NY 10157-1672.
Directions to Puritan Backroom and Conference Center
From any direction, get onto Interstate Route 93 (If you are coming into Manchester from
Route 101 from either the seacoast or the western part of the state, be sure to pick up 93
NORTH.) Take exit 9S off Route 93.That will lead you onto Hooksett Road (Daniel
Webster Highway No.) We are located approximately 1 mile off the exit on the left hand
side right after Bonneville Dodge and State Motors and directly across the street from
Livingston Park. The Puritan Conference Center is located in the building just south of
the Puritan Backroom at 207 Hooksett Road. The main entrance is the same as the
entrance to St. Mary’s Bank. Parking is also available in the lot of the building next door
which houses St. Mary’s Bank.
