WORCESTER-Dhimitraq Spiro, 83, of Worcester, died Wednesday, September 23rd in the Radius Healthcare Center of Worcester. His wife of 54 years, Polikseni (Lulja) Spiro died in 1998. He leaves two sons, Dion Spiro and his wife Lindita of Worcester and Maksim Spiro and his wife Natasha of Rocky Hill, CT; two daughters, Keti Spiro and Tamara Kaba and her husband Bashkim, both of Worcester; two sisters, Violeta Pojani of Washington, D.C. and Marjeta Celaj of Albania; six grandchildren, Kebiana Kaba, Hediona Spiro, Redi Kaba, and Erinda, Kestrina and Kledia Spiro; and several nephews and nieces. His son, Aleksander Spiro and two brothers, Fori and Ligor Spiro predeceased him.
Mr. Spiro was born in Korca, Albania, the son of Llazar and Magalina Spiro and came to this country in 1994. He was the director of the Machine Agriculture Station for the Albanian government.
The funeral is Saturday, September 26th with a service at 10:30 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, September 25th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
