Taunton – Winston Wallace White, life long resident of Berkley and Taunton, died Sunday September 20th 2009 at the West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton after a brief illness. He was 67 years of age. He was the former husband of the late Eliza White. He was born in Berkley, son of the late Sylvester and Madeline (Westgate) White. Mr. White was employed at the Christmas Tree Shop in Middleboro as a warehouse worker. He also had worked for Walden Shoe Company in Middleboro and Napa Auto Parts in Taunton. He also attended Taunton High School. He was a long time member of the Winthrop Street Baptist Church in Taunton. Mr. White enjoyed word search games, wrestling, and country music. He survived by two daughters, Brenda Lee White of Raynham and Barbara Ann Alphonse of Taunton. He also leaves two sisters Eleanor Barnes of Berkley and Madeline Hall of Onset. He also leaves six grandchildren, Justin, Noah, Kaylee, Selena, Dannie Jr. and Michael. He also leaves a very special aunt and uncle Florence and Harry Westgate of Raynham. Also survived by two nieces and two nephews. His funeral will be held Wednesday September 23rd at the Taunton Funeral Home 8 Crapo St (off Tremont St) at 12 noon. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 10am to 12 noon. Burial will take place at Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
