AUGUSTA, Ga. – Entered into rest Monday, September 21, 2009, at Doctors Hospital, Mrs. Judith Williams Kuhlke, 65, loving and devoted wife for 45 years of Edmund P. Kuhlke.
Mrs. Kuhlke was born in Dublin, GA and resided in Augusta most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta and the Grace Sunday School Class. Mrs. Kuhlke attended UGA and graduated from West Georgia College. She retired after 30 years as a teacher in the Columbia County School system. She was a member of the Azalea Garden Club, Sacred Heart Guild, and the Jane Howington Bible Study. Judy will be remembered as a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Family members in addition to her husband include her sons: Edmund P. Kuhlke, Jr. and wife Mary, Christopher E. Kuhlke and wife Laura; grandchildren: Scott Kuhlke, Mary Kathryn Kuhlke, Ella Kuhlke, and Henry Kuhlke; and sister: Beth Kuhlke and husband Bill.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Jake Malone officiating.
