Obituary

WEBSTER – Mary B. (Stawicki) Kujawski, 93, formerly of Webster, died Monday, Sept. 21, in St. Camillus Healthcare Center, Whitinsville, after an illness. Her husband, Edward Kujawski, died in 1964.

She leaves a son, Thomas E. Kujawski and his wife Nancy M. Kujawski of Whitinsville; a daughter, Helen C. Wasiuk of Naples, FL; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a brother, Francis Dziembowski of Dudley. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Dansereau in 1990.

She was born and raised in the Wilsonville area of Thompson. She lived in Webster and Dudley most of her life before moving to Whitinsville in 2007.

Mrs. Kujawski worked in the cafeteria at Nichols College for 20 years. She also was a waitress at both Point Breeze and at the State Line Casino in Dudley on a part-time basis. She retired in 1987.

She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica and the St. Joseph Polish Women’s Club. She was a weekly adorer at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. An accomplished seamstress, she specialized in making Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for her family and acquaintances.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Camillus Healthcare Center for its tender care and concern for Mary during her two years there.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, Sept. 23, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. Calling hours are from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, Sept. 22, in the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Camillus Healthcare Center, 447 Hill Street, Whitinsville, MA 01588.
